PHP Backend Developer (Laravel)

About the Role

We are hiring a PHP Backend Developer (Laravel) to join our team. The ideal candidate has strong experience with Laravel, enjoys building scalable backend systems, and writes clean, well-structured code. You will collaborate closely with the product and frontend teams to develop powerful features and deliver smooth product experiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain backend systems using Laravel & PHP
• Build and maintain RESTful APIs for web and mobile platforms
• Design database schemas and ensure efficient query performance
• Implement authentication, authorization, and secure data handling
• Integrate third-party services, APIs, and payment gateways
• Participate in code reviews, debugging, optimization, and refactoring
• Work closely with the team to define requirements and deliver milestones
• Maintain detailed technical documentation and follow best practices

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong hands-on experience with Laravel Framework (Must)
• Proficiency in PHP, OOP, and MVC architecture
• Strong knowledge of MySQL/MariaDB and database optimization
• Experience with REST API development
• Familiarity with Git and collaborative development workflows
• Understanding of security practices and performance optimization
• Basic knowledge of Linux server environments

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

• Experience with Docker, Queue Workers, Redis, Horizon
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines, AWS/Azure/DigitalOcean deployment
• Experience with unit testing (PHPUnit/Pest)
• Familiarity with microservices architecture
• Frontend knowledge (Vue/React) is a plus
